TAXI-DRIVER HELD UP.
THREATENED WITH REVOLVER. ATTACK BY TWO YOUNG MEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) * DUNEDIN, Friday. The latest development In the crime epld.emlo was an attempt by two men to rob a taxi-driver, Thomas Hyde, on a lonely road near Wakarl last night. Hyde was engaged -by two young men to drive them about a mile past Wakari. In a lonely spot he was ordered by one, who presented.a revolver, to get out, but while the other man was between the taximan and the weapon, engaged In searching the driver’s pockets, Hyde struck out, whereupon both decamped. They got nothing but a matchbox, though Hyde had £6 on him. The police have a good description of the young men.
