RELIEF OF DISTRESS.
MAYOR’S BLANKET FUND. TO CLOSE TO-DAY. In order to alleviate some of the hardship which the advent of winter will impose upon the unemployed, contributions are solicited to the*, Mayor’s Blanket Fund. Cash should be sent to the Waikato Times which will acknowledge accordingly. Blankets may be left at the " Dolly Varden.” The fund is to be closed to-day (Saturday) and those who intend to subscribe' are requested to do so at once in order that distribution may be commenced. , The following donations have been
