WOOLPACKS FROM FLAX. COMPANY IN FORMATION. N.Z. Woolpack and Textiles, Ltd* is being formed to acquire by purchase the New Zealand patent rights, together with an option to acquire the Australian and world patent rights of a process whereby New Zealand flax (phormium tenax) may be manufactured into woolpacks or other products such as corn sacks, sacking, hessian, etc. Primarily, however, the activities of the company will be confined to the manufacture of woolpacks for the New Zealand market. The provisional directors are Sir Alexander Roberts, Colonel J. J. Esson, Messrs H. H, Sterling, E. Anderson, A. W. Press, D. R. Ogilvy, T. H. Watson,' T. Newburgh, and'Dr. R. H. Ale. A. Wylie.
