RELIEF OF DISTRESS.

MAYOR’S BLANKET FUND. TO CLOSE TO-MORROW. In order to alleviate somo of the hardship which the advent of winter will Impose upon the unemployed, contributions are solicited to the Mayor’s Blanket Fund. Cash should be sent to the Waikato Times which will acknowledge accordingly. Blankets may be left at the “ Dqlly Varden.” The fund is to be closed to-morrow (Saturday) and those who intend to subscribe are requested to do so at once in order that distribution may bo commenced.
