AT TE AROHA
At the April meeting of the chamber Mr L. Mackie introduced the subject of bringing the medicinal qualities of the Te Aroha waters before the medical profession for the benefit of sufferers from complaints that could be treated here.—Messrs . Hedge, Wood and Mackie were deputed to interview the Tourist Department to gain particulars relative to what action (lie department had taken to give ilie matter wide 'publicity.
A discussion took place with reference to German mineral water being stocked at Bellamy’s in preference lo that of New Zealand.—lt was decided to write to the Prime Minister and member for the dislrict drawing their attention to the fact that New Zealand waters were being overlooked at Bellamy’s, and to forward a case of mineral water to (he GovernorGeneral, asking him to accept as a gift, with the compliments of the Chamber of Commerce.
