POPPY DAY APPEAL.
REMEMBER EX-SOLDIERS. TO-MORROW’S STREET EFFORT. The cause of unemployed ex-ser-vice men, many of whom are in urgent need of assistance, will be remembered to-morrow on the occasion of the annual Poppy Day appeal in Hamilton organised by the Waikato Returned Soldiers' Association. Under the supervision of Mrs. H. C. Ross street sellers will be abroad early to-morrow, and the public is asked to co-operate liberally in buying poppies and contributing to the funds generally. Last year about £l6O was realised, an amount which It is hoped to exceed this year. An appeal to the publio not to forget the sacrifices made by ex-service men will be made to-night by the Mayor (Dr. F. D. Pinfold)) from station IZH.
All proceeds in connection with tomorrow’s activities will be ( devoted to providing work for needy ex-soldiers in the Waikato district. Any ladies desirous of assisting are asked to communicate with Mrs. Ross.
