Mr I. J. Goldstine, Mayor of One Tree Hill, Auckland, is visiting Hamilton. Mr H. H. Sterling, of Wellington, chairman of the New Zealand Railways Board, was in Hamilton this morning. Captain A. L. Stedman, Messrs W. B. Clarke, T. A. Jarvie (Wellington), D. L. Clayton, E. Crouch, and 11. Welsh (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel. The fifty-eighth annual conference of the Ashburton district of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows, Bro. G. M. Innes was elected district grand master for the ensuing term. Mr Innes is a member of thirty years’ standing in the Loyal Hamilton Lodge, having ' joined the year this lodge was established, lie was at one time on the literary staff of Iho Waikato Times. For some years he lias been cdltpr of Hie Ashburton Guardian. The following results of LL.M. examinations have been announced by the University of New Zealand:— Honours and LL.M.—Auckland University College: T. V. Fitzpatrick, second class; W. M. Miiliken, second class; H. Mitchell, second class; J. P. McVeagh, first class; H. W. Youren, first class. Victoria University College: Julia M. Dunn, pass; J. K. Logan, second class; R. W. Sharp, second class. Canterbury University College: J. T. Watts, pass; E. C. Champion, pass; J. A. Wicks, secondclass. University of Otago:. A. B. Thomson, second class; A. T. Butcher equivalent second class.
