PRIMARY SCHOOLS.
ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING. LIST OF AWARDS. Hamilton East emerged as the most successful school in the recent Waikato Primary Schools’ sports meeting, securing the Patterson Gup with 41 points. Forest Lake was champion of grade 4 and 5 schools, taking the Herbert Smith Cup with 26 points. Whatawhata was Hie champion school of grades 1,2 and 3, annexing the Sims’ Shield with 55 points. Trophies were awarded the following children in individual championships:—Champion hoy, F. Bor eland (Frankton) ; champion girl, M. Boyes (West) ; best hoy (grades 6 and 7 schools), F. Boreland (Frankton); best girl (grades 6 and 7 schools), M. Boyes (West). Best boy (grades 4 and 5), C.'MeOney (Forest Lake); best girl (grades. 4 ancUo), no award; best boy (grades i, 2 and 3 schools), N. Carryer (Rukuhla) ; best girl (grades 1,2 and 3), Olive Carpenter (Whatawhata). Cups for relay races were awarded as follows:—Boys:- Senior (Theatre Royal Cup), Whitlora; Intermediate (Herbert Smith Cup), Hamilton East; junior (Paul’s Cup), Hamilton West. Girls: Senior (I-lowden Cup), Whitiora; intermediate (Herbert Smith Cup), Hamilton East; junior (Stevens’ Cup), Hamilton East. Country Schools. —Boys: Senior, Gordonton; intermediate, Ohaupo; junior, Gordonton. Girls: Senior, Rukuhla; intermediate, Whatawhata; junior, Gordonton.
