CROQUET.

HAMILTON TOURNAMENT. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. The Hamilton Croquet Club's annual tournament was concluded yesterday, when the final of the championship singles was played between Mrs Brocklesby, winner of section A, and Mrs Bartlett, winner of section B, both members of the Franklon lawns.

The play was fairly equal in the three games, the first game being won by Mrs Bartlett, 26—10, the second by Mrs Brocklesby, 26—16, na tithe final to Mrs Bartlett, 26—22. In the third game both players were well on form and their long shooting was really good. Both made good breaks and "ihc spectators enjoyed watching the play. Following are the results of the tournament: —

Championship Singles.—Mrs Bartlett; runner-up, Mrs Brocklesby. Champinoship Doubles.—Mesdames Bartlett and Dillicar; runners-up, Mesdames Lawrie and Brocklesby. Handicap Doubles.—Mrs Bartlett anrt Mr Melrose; runners-up, Mesdames Thomsen and Scrimshaw. Handicap Singles.—Mrs Lorrimer; runner-up, Mr Melrose. In the absence of the president, Mr Howden, Mrs Seifert, vice-president, presented the trophies to the successful players. On behalf of the visitors Mrs Bartlett thanked the members of the Hamilton Club for the very enjoyable time they had all had, and also moved a vole of thanks to Mrs Hawkeu for the able manner In which the tournament was managed.
