STIMULATING TRADE.
—O' EXHIBITION IN LONDON. ADVERTISING AND MARKETING. (Bv Telegraph.—P rn= ? Association.) ROTORUA, Thursday. Interesting reference to Hie Empire Advertising and Marketing Exhibition at. Olympia, London, next July, was made" by Mr Henry Horton in his presidential address to members of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Press Union to-day. He said lie fell sure the exhibition would have the entire support of the New Zealand branch. It bad been described as an attempt to translate into praelieal business Hie results oh lamed at the Ottawa Conference, and it would be a genuine and muchneeded attempt, to stimulate both trade and advertising on a larger scale than had recently been attempted. Unquestionably, advertising was one of the best barometers of a country’s prosperity.'Mr Horton said. The rise had not yet, commenced in New Zealand. bill as the country was settling down after the recent political turmoil they hoped an improvement was near at hand.
