Meteorologist.)’ The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is as folForecast: Moderate to strong southwest to westerly winds veering later to northwest. Weather mainly fair, but showery at times, especially in the high country. Temperatures mild. Seas rather rough. General inference: Though the first of a series of westerly depressions passed last night pressure is still very low from Tasmania to southern New Zealand and a continuance of the westerly type of yveather is indicated.
