ADDINGTON MARKET. Consequent upon the deoline in lamb and mutton export sohedules, values in those sections at Addington eased materially, reaching a new iow level for the season. Store Sheep.—The yarding was the biggest this year. Young ewes and sound-mouth ewes -were in demand. Wethers were slightly easier. The entry of store lambs was smaller usual and late rates were maintained. Values were: Good 2-tooth Romneycross ewes to 13s, extra good 2 and 4-tooth 15s 9d to 16s 6d, good 6 and 8-tooth to 12s Id, sound-mouth 7s 6d to 10s, extra good 2-tooth halfbred ewes 15s to 16s, plain 9s 6d to 10s Bd, sound-mouth 7s 6d to 8s 3d, aged and failing-mouth 2s 3d to 6s, good 6 and 8-tooth Corriedale ewes to 12s Bd, 4 and 6-tooth halfbred wethers 7s to 9s Id. Store Lambs. —Forward mixed sex lambs 8s 6d to 9s Cd, medium 7s to -8s 3d, average 5s 6d to 6s 9d, cull 3s 6d to ss, good crossbred wethers to 9s sd, medium halfbred wethers 6s 6d to 7s 6d, ordinary to 6s. Fat Lambs. —The export schedule has dropped by |d a lb to 4Jd for ■two's, and the market for the 3300 head offered reflected the decline. Values were: Extra prime heavy lambs to 15s 7d, prime heavy 13s to 14s 6d, medium weight 11s to 12s 6d, light 9s 6d to 10s 6d. Fat Sheep.—-The entry comprised 4500 head. The export schedule has been reduced by id for all classes. Values were easier by Is a head for all •except heaviest wethers, while ewes declined an average of is 6d a head. Fat Cattle.—There was an entry of 380 head. The demand was very dull for all except exceptional quality beef. Values were easier. There has not been a duller sale at Addington within memory. Good beef made from 16s to 18s 6d, a few special pens of baby beef to 20s per 1001 b, medium steer and heifer 13s to 15s 6d, medium 'cow to 11s, and light 6s to 9s. Extra heavy prime heavy steers made to £8 17s 6d, prime heavy £6 to £7 15s, prime medium weight £5 to £6 10s, light and ordinary £2 10s to £4 10s, extra prime heifers to £6 17s 6d, prime £3 10s to £3 ss, medium £2 15s to £3 7s 6d, light to £2 10s, extra prime cows to £5 2s 6d, prime £3 5s to £4 ss, medium £2 2s 6d to £3 2s 6d, aged and inferior 25s to £2. Fat Pigs.—The entry was a large one and included an over-supply of baconers. Four trucks of baconers came forward from the West Coast. Bacon values were considerably easier. Values were: Choppers 38s 6d to £4 3s 6d, baconers 31s 6d to 38s 6d, heavy 41s 6d to 53s 6d, average price per lb 3d to 4d; porkers 21s 6d to 26s 6d, heavy 27s 6d to 34s 6d, average price per lb 4d to sd.

SHEEP FAIRS. MATAMATA SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—at Matamata sale on Wednesday a good yarding of sheep came forward, consisting mainly of, store lambs. The demand was good, and prices were on a par with other sales. A medium yarding of cattle maintained recent quotations. Another extra heavy yarding of all classes of pigs again came forward. Prime baconers met with keen competition and prices improved on last sale, being well up to Frankton rates. Porkers were slightly easier than last sale, but. were also equal to other sale quotations. A large yarding oT stores and weaners met with good competition, the whole yarding changing hands at satisfactory prices. Quotations: Heavy prime fat lambs sold at 13s 3d, light fat lambs 9s 9d to 10s Id, good store lambs 8s to 9s, medium store lambs 6s 9d to 7s, cull lambs 4s lid to 5s 4d, s.m. ewes 6s 9d, cull ewes 4s 4d to 4s 9d, medium fat cows £3 to £3 17s, light fat cows £2 to £2 15s, killable cows £1 11s to £1 19s, fresh store cows 24s to 345, boners 10s to 22s 6d, heavy potter bulls £4 to £5 ss, medium potter bulls £3 to £3 15s, light potter bulls 30s to £2 7s 6d, yearling heifers r.w.b. £3 ss, 3 4-year Shorthorn sleers to £3 17s, 21-year Shorthorn steers £3 to £3 4s. Pigs: Heavy choppers 35s to £2 7s, lighter choppers 24s to 30s, prime heavy baconers £2 9s to £2 14s, medium baconers £2 4s to £2 Bs, light baconers 3Ss to £2 3s, heavy porkers 35s to 38s, medium porkers 30s to 345, light porkers 24s to 295, stores 19s to 245, slips 14s 6d to 17s, good weaners 10s lo 12s Gd, smaller weaners 4s lo 9s.

STORE SHEEP SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: At their weekly store sheep sale in the Frank ton yards yesterday, only a small yarding same forward, with lambs selling at about late rates, and breeding ewes slightly easier. Quotations: Romney woolly lambs sold at 8s 3d tp 8s 7d; medium Romney woolly lambs, 7s to 7s Gd; medium Romney shorn lambs. Gs to Gs JOd; cull lambs, 5s to 5s 9d; 2-tooth ewes, 12s Id; -1 and 5 year ewes, 8s 3d to 9s ltd; small-mouthed ewes, Gs to 7s 3d; cull ewes, 3s to -is 3d. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their Hamilton store sheep sale held on Wednesday as follows: A total clearance was effected for a slightly smaller entry of store lambs and a fairly large number of mostly aged ewes sold on account of local vendors Competition throughout was brisk, as at last week’s sale, and values manntained fully late quotations. Well grown store lambs realised 7s 5d to 8s; medium do., Gs id to 7s 3d- poorer, 5s 2d to Gs; inferior, 4s Gd'to ss; good quality 4-year ewes, 9s to 10s; fair conditioned ewes, 7s 9d to 8s 6d;’inferior up to 7s Gd.
