TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY
A JOLLY EVENING. On Monday evening Mr and Mrs J. Wild gave a jolly party at the Wattle Tea Rooms for their daughter Beatrice to celebrate her 21st birthday. The room was gaily decorated for the occasion with streamers and blossoms, and a very happy time was spent with games and dancing. The beautiful cake was decorated with Union .Tacks instead of candles in honour of Mr Wild, who is an ex-navy man. Mrs Wild received her guests in a gown of wedgwood blue suede elite and Miss Wild wore blue satin.
Others present were: Mrs F. Herbert, black lacc; Mrs J. Twide, mauve crepe do chine; Mrs F. Ladd, pink frilled net; Mrs Soanes, pink satin; Miss Wyn Harris, black taffeta; Miss Maude McKenzie, while satin beaute; Miss RuMi Shattock, shell pink satin; Miss Daisy Gilmore, red satin; Miss Bertha Stent, floral crepe de chine; Miss 11. Whitley, black velvet; Miss J. Sanders, white, satin; Miss Mavis Toombs, blue organdie; Miss F. Stubbs, black lace; Miss Gladys Syeimore, lemon taffeta; Miss I. Martin, lime (taffeta; Miss May Hall-Jones, blue satin. Airs Toombs’ orchestra rendered exoellent music.
