THE OWNER MISSING. BELIEVED TO BE DROWNED. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The man’s clothing found on the beacli at Brighton last week lias been definitely identified as belonging to Hector George Thirkell, manager of the Richmond Butter Company, Dixon Street, Wellington, who came to Christchurch on business on Tuesday. No trace has been found o*f Mr Thirkell, who is a married man. From the position of the clothes and the fact that there was with them a new towel it is thought that the missing man must have gone swimming and got into difficulties. He was said to be a strong swimmer.
