ROTORUA PAIRS TOURNAMENT.
ROTORUA, Monday. The pairs tournament of the Rotorua Beveling Club was commenced today in perfect weather. Following were the results of the day’s play:— Section A. HAMILTON DEFEATS TAUPIRI. INTER-CLUB COMPETITIONS. Hamilton defeated Taupiri by 76 points to 62 at Taupiri on Saturday In the South Auckland inter-club competitions. The results are as follows, Taupiri names toeing mentioned first; —Catley, Hunter, McDonald, Seath, 27, v. Coombes, Roberts, Masters, Chapman, 19; Tapper, White-horn, Waring, Horwood, 19, v. Conradi, Parke, Coombes, Curtels, 33; Gorman, Day, Gleeson, Murphy, 16, v. Davidson, Redmond, Plummer, Clarke, 24. TAIHAPE v. TAUMARUNUI. TAUMARUNUI, Monday. There was a large attendance at the Taumarunul Bowling Club's greens when maljches were played between the Taihape 'and Taumarunui Clubs’ representatives for the ■Bangltikei Shield, the Rimu Cup, the Thompson Banner and the Curtis Cup. The visitors retained possession of the Rimu Cup, but Taumarunul was successful in the other three competitions.
