Friday 82.0 65.0 During the past 24 hours .05 inch of rain fell. Mean temperature 73.5 degrees. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. SPECIAL FORECAST. (By Govt. Meteorologist.) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area Is as follows : Forecast: Moderate to .strong north-westerly winds. WcathTff changeable and squally with scattered rains, seas moderate. General /inference: There has been little change in the meteorological situation. A moderate westerly depression siill extends from the sou I h Tasman Sea across the South Island. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Ruakura Farm.) Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9.30 lids morning, .Oln. Rainfall for previous 24 hours ,05in. Total for Februady, 4.49 in. Rainfall for year to date. 7.121 n. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for westerly winds moderate t<s strong. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable with scattered showers. Barometer unsteady.
