TALLULAH BANKHEAD.

LEAVING THE FILMS. “WITH NO REGRETS." (From a Correspondent.) NEW YORK, Dec. 6. Tallulah Bankhead, the actress, has abandoned the films. “None of the parts really suited me," she said, as she left Hollywood for New York, “but that’s over now. “I am departing without regrets,” she continued. When working on her third film at Hollywood, “The Cheat,” Miss Bankhead said: “I have lost much of the actual fear that I had the first time I faced the dead, opaque eyes of a battery of cameras. The greatest difficulty one feels is the lack of a real flesh "and blood audience. Those glaring lights give one a terrific feeling of insignificance.”

Perhaps the fact that Miss Bankhead’s films have not been very successful may have had something to do with her departure!
