the session. INDEMNIFYING THE BANKS. * LABOURS’ INTENTIONS. WELLINGTON, Friday. The Prime Minister, Hoik G. W. Forbes, announces that next week, probably on Thursday or Friday, legislation will be Introduced to give effect to the indemnity of the banks against losses due to high exchange. Interviewed as to the future position in the House he said at the moment, he is not prepared to make a statement. It is anticipated that on Thursday the Labour Party will move a no-confidence motion on the exchange issue, with the object of securing an early alignment as to tho position. The Premier will grant facilities for an immediate discussion and vote. .It is not anticipated that the debate will be lengthy. PLUNKET SHIELD MATCH. AUCKLAND TWO FOR 228.
