WAIPA ASSOCIATION. Tlie Waipa Cricket Association matches were advanced a further stage on Saturday, when last year’s champions, High School, suffered their first loss of the season, being beaten by Te Kawa. High School batted first, but found Ashton too deadly and were all out for 80, S. Shepherd 26 not out, C. Rickit 20, and L. Dalton 17 being the chief scorers. Ashton, six wickets for 20, did most damage. Te Kawa had put on 84 for four wickets when time was called, R. Mexted 36 (not out), R. Ashton 16 (not out) and Mulgan 11, doing the best, GAMES AT OTOROHANQA.
At Otorohanga on Saturday the game Natives v. Retailers, produced good cricket. Natives made 45 in the first innings, and Retailers 107 for seven wickets. High School beat Kio Kio. School made 103 for seven wickets. Kio Kio compiled 45 and 4 1. Otorohanga defeated I-lonikiwi by an innings. Otorohanga made 62 for for five wickets. Honikiwi registered 27 and 16.
