9Jd; forties, 9d. AUCKLAND PRODUCE. Steady turnover is being maintained in fowl wheat. The bulk of the business is being done in Australian at 6s 3d a bushel through store. Oats. —Weak 'conditions exist ana the demand is poor. Feed are worth about fs 9d a bushel through store. Chaff.—Chaff is neglected owing to the plentiful supply of feed. The market is inclined to weaken, values being around £8 5s a ton through store. Barley.—Stocks of Australian barley are generally light. The through store is about -is a bushel for clipped. . .. - Bran and Pollard. —Prices in both lines are unchanged. From the mills bran is worth £5 10s a ton and pollard £6. Australian, through store, is being done at from £6 15s to £7 a ton. Maize. —Business is quiet, although it is fairly firmly held In the Bay of Plenty, at late rates of about is a bushel wholesale on trucks. It is worth 5s 3d a bushel through store, Auckland. Potatoes.—The market is being heavily and very low rates rule. Onions.—There are ample supplies of Canadian and the market is generally weak. Canadian in cases and ‘bags are worth from 15s to 16s. Poultry.—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 3s Cd to 5s Gd; not prime, 2s 6d up; light breeds, prime, 2s 6d to 3s Gd; not prime. Is Gd up; fat roosters, heavy breeds, prime, Is 3d to 2s; light, 9d to Is Gd; fat hens, heavy breeds, Is 9d to 2s 3d; light, 9d to Is 6d; pullets, heavy breeds, best (this season’s), 2s Gd to 4s; smaller, Is to 2s 6d; light breeds, Is to 2s Gd; drakes, young, prime, Is Gd to 2s 6d; smaller, 9d up; old, 9d to is 3d: ducks, young. Is Gd to 2s Gd; old, 9d to Is 3d; cockerel chicks, heavy breeds, 4d to 2s Gd; light, Id to Is 6d; guinea fowls, 2s 6d to 3s Gd; ducklings, 4d to 5d each. Dairy Produce. —Hen eggs, first grade, ”IOJd dozen; B grade, 9*d; C grade, 7jd; duck eggs, 9Jd, 84d, Cid. Farmers’ butter, 7d to 9d a lb.
BUTTER AND CHEESE. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have been advised by Samuel Page and Son, London, as follows: — Butter: New Zealand, finest salted, 80s to 88s; Danish, 116 sto iißs; Australian, finest unsalted, 86s to 102 s; finest salted, 86s to 88s; general average quality, 82s to 84s. The market is weaker. Cheese: New Zealand, white and coloured, 64s to 655; Canadian, white and coloured, 66s to 695. The market Is firm owing to light supplies. Nordern and Company, Limited, have received the following advice from R. and W. Davidson, Limited, Glasgow:—Butter: New Zealand, salted, 87s to 89s; unsalted, 104 s to 108 s; equivalent to 8.78 d and 10.96 d a lb f.o.b. Auckland respectively. The market advanced sharply owing to shortness of supplies, but is now weak. Cheese: White, 645; coloured, 655; equivalent to 6.02 d and 6.13 d a lb f.o.b. Auckland, respectively. The market is firm.
