DROP IN BANK SHARES. STATE STOCKS IN POOR DEMAND. (By Tcicgraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. The principal feature of a dull market was the sharp drop in the price of Bank of New Zealands which changed hands at £2 2s Cd, a drop of 2s 3d since Wednesday. After this transaction there" were still sellers at £2 2s 9d with buyers at £2 2s. In Government stocks the demand was poor, 4§ per cents were neglected. Buyers lowered their offers for 5J per cent, to £97 ss. In the mining section Waihis were steady with buyers at 18s 6d. For King Solomon 2s 5d was offered. Haywards pictures were quoted, a line being available at 7s.
