MRS TOOMBS HONOURED

CAMBRIDGE GUIDE FUNCTION. The Cambridge Guide Hall was filled to capacity on Tuesday night when the Rangers, Guides, Brownies, ami friends organised a most enjoyable social evening in honour of Mrs Toombs, who recently resigned the position of Commissioner for the South Auckland Division. Lieutenant McCarthy, on behalf of the companies, presented Mrs Toombs with a beautiful vase as a token of the great love and respect in which she is held and In appreciation of her un'tiring services during tier term of office. Outstanding among the many enjoyable items was the presentation of the play “Juliet" by members of the company.
