THE LAST RITES

LATE MRS H. J. FERGUSON. IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL SERVICE. Evidence of the esteem in which the late Mrs H. J. Ferguson was held in the comnrunity was given in the large number of mourners at tho burial service this afternoon. The first part of the service was held in the Cathedral, and was conducted by Archdeacon G. Gordon Bell. Among the congregation were representatives of the Lyceum Olub and the Hamilton District Law Society. The remains were borne from the Cathedral by members of the legal fraternity, and the hearse left for the Hamilton East cemetery followed by a lengthy cortege. Archdeacon Bell performed the last rites at the graveside. Many beautiful floral tokens were placed on the grave.
