At the London wool sales 7539 bales were offered, including 2097 of New Zealand. Approximately 5639 bales were sold. There was good home and continental competition at fully late rates, greasy crossbreds tending in sellers’ favour*. New Zealand clips, greasy crossbred, “J.G.L./ K,” top price B£d, average 7id; halfbred, “ Mangaroa," 10d and 9|d; half-bred lamb slipe, “ Balclutha," Hid. The Bradford tops market is firm with a moderate amount of business passing.

At the wool sales 10,000 bales met good competition. Japan and the Continent were the principal buyers. Prices were on a par with the closing rates last week.
