STOCK EXCHANGE.
THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. BUSINESS ONLY MODERATE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Business has been only moderate so far tliis week. There has been little activity on the Stock Exchange, and comparatively few sales have been put through. Government stocks appear to have steadied at a lower 'level, and fresh business was done this morning in 54 per cents at £97 JOs. The Banks section was dull, and New South Wales were offered 5s cheaper at £27 15s, with no response from buyers. New Zealands eased further, and after a sale at £2 5s there were still sellers at that figure. Goklsbrough-Morts were offered lower at £1 2s 3d. Farmers' Fertiliser shares could be bough! at 15s 3d. Waihis were easier at 18s Uhl.
