CLEARING SALE. AT TAIHOA. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering . Company, Limited, report having held a clearing sale on behalf of the estate of the late Mr B. Gould, on the farm at Taihoa, Matamata. All the cows were in milk and in good condition and there were no tliree(luarter cows in I lie herd. There was a good attendance of buyers from ail parts of the Waikato, there being several farmers interested in the horses, which commanded fair competition. Good young Jersey and Jersey cross cows made £1 5s to £6 ss; good Friesian cows, £3 15s to £-4 10s; Shorthorn cows, £4 to £5 ss; other good dairy cows (older), £2 15s to £3 10s; oilier old cows, 30s to £2; dry cows, 27s 6d to 355; good mouthed aged horses, all farm work, £27 10s to £34; other aged horses, £5 to £ls. CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their Cambridge stock sale as follows: — Cattle.—-The yarding consisted principally of medium fat cows, which met with a good demand at values very firm on recent Frankton quotations. A few light fat bullocks and a few pens of yearling heifers changed hands at late rates. There was not much demand for a small entry of dairy cattle which mostly failed to reach vendors’ reserves. Unfinished bullocks £2 10s to £2 16s; prime quality fat cows and heifers, £2 7s 0d to £2 14s; lighter quality, £1 18s to £2 ss; light, £1 10s to £1 16s; good stores, £1 Is Lo £1 7s; fair, 14s to 17s Od; boners to 12s; medium conditioned yearling heifers, £1 13s to £1 18s; poorer £1 4s to £1 10s; inferior to £1 is; potter bulls, £2 lo £3 3s; good dairy cows and heifers, £4 to £5 10s; poorer, £3 ss, to £4; inferior, £2 10s to £3. Pigs.—An unusually small entry of stores and weaners came forward while medium to light porkers predominated. A good sale was effected for the whole of the offering at values appreciably in advance of late rates.
