The result of the secret ballot taken by the watersiders yesterday on the question of loading moat and proceeding normally was as follows: In favour 733 Against 299 Informal - 5 Majority in favour .... 434 MEAT TO BE HANDLED. DECISION IN WELLINGTON. • RESULT OF SECRET BALLOT. " WELLINGTON, Friday. The result of the Wellington waterside workers’ ballot to-day on the question of handling frozen meat was officially announced this afternoon, and .showed the men to he in favour of handling meat. The first vessel affected was the Norfolk and tho loading of 26,000 freight carcases of meat into the ship was commenced to-night.
