HAROLD LLOYD

FILM STAR IN PARIS. FAMILY PICNIC IN TRAIN. Writing from Paris to the London Daily Mail, Seton Margrave says:— To-day I travelled from Cherbourg to Paris with a happy family. According to the passenger-list, there were three children in this family;—Mildred Glora Lloyd, aged 8; Marjorie Elizabeth Lloyd, aged 7; and Harold Lloyd jun„ who is just 20 month's and can apeak three languages. But I must add to this list the famous film star Harold Lloyd and his wife, who was Mildred Davis, the film actress. Friendly and Unaffected. The joy of these two friendly, unaffected, and incurably modest people at seeing Europe for the first time made the five-hours journey between Cherbourg and Paris a real picnic. To-morrow I shall accompany Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd to London, where Mr. Lloyd will fulfill a promise to attend the Carlton Theatre, where the presentation of his latest film “ .Movie Crazy,” begins to-morrow, but he is very insistent on his attendance being informal.

On Monday Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd will return to Paris, but later they will come back to London to fulfill one of their dreams, which Is to motor leisurely throughout the length and breadth of Great Britain. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd intend to spend several months In Europe. They also Intend to visit Blyth, in Northumberland, where the film star’-s ancestors lived. Fit Voung Man. Mr. Lloyd, who has jet-black hair and light-blue eye's, Is a slender, muscular, and exceedingly fit young man. In response to his own high spirits he did a neat step-dance on the floor of our Pullman carriage. He talks eagerly but serously. He is an excellent conversationist, but he is certainly the world’s most appreciative listener. Mr. Lloyd is also accompanied by his brother. Gaylord Lloyd, and by his wife’s mother, Mrs. Caroline Davis.
