There has been no Improvement on (lie Stock Exchange market, ami Business Is quiet, with a weakness evident in most sections This is particularly noticeable in Ihe case of Government issues. At this morning’s call holders of 41 per cents, had eased their reserves to KUO 3s for bonds and .605 Ids lor stock, Iml ihe hesl buyers stopped at £93 IDs. For 51 per cents., £97 10s was Hie hesl oiler, with a parcel available at £99 Ids.
Waihis were steady, buyers being slill prepared to give 18s lOd. There was little change in hanking shares, hut insurances had an easier lone. For South British sellers again quoted 53s Pd.
