KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAM. AUCKLAND, Thursday. While crossing Sandringham Road yesterday, Jack Wilfred Howard, aged eight, xvas knocked down by a tramcar, sustaining concussion. GIRL DROWNED. REEFTON, Wednesday. A 14-year-old girl, Margaret Howard, daughter of the late Mr. Frank Howard, of Auckland, xvas drowned xvhile bathing in the Inangahua Rix-er last evening. MOTOR FATALITY. FIELDS INSTRUCTOR KILLED. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. As the result of a motor accident at Gorge Creek yesterday Mr. Arthur John Ashworth, aged 50, married, received fatal injuries. Deceased was Helds instructor of the Department of Agriculture at Alexandra.
