THE MEAT MARKET. SHIPMENTS DURING OCTOBER. The New Zealand Meat Producers Board is advised by cable from Its London office that the shipments from Australia and South America to the United Kingdom during October were as follows: —> Australia.—Mutton, 72,227 carcases; lamb, 697,856 carcases; beef, 46,271 quarters. South America. —Mutton, 14,058 carcases; lamb, 291,907 caroases; beef (frozen), 1816 quarters; beef (chilled), 380,710 quarters.
The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as follows: —- New Zealand. —Mutton, 144,465 caroases; lamb, 108,541 carcases; beef 26,397 quarters. The shipments from South America to the .Continent of Europe during the same period were'. —Mutton, nil; frozen beef, 587 tons.
