MRS MOLLISON’S FLIGHT. NO NEWS OF PROGRESS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, Nov. 16. No news has been received of Mrs Molllson (Miss Amy Johnson) since she left Oran, Algeria, at 11.30 a.m. yesterday in continuation of her flight to Capetown. The airwoman expressed her Intention of flying from Oran to Niamey, French West Africa, in one hop. She departed in favourable weather.
LATER. LANDED AT GAO. NO NEED FOR ANXIETY. NEWS TRAVELS SLOWLY. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Nov. 17, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 16. A message from Gao states that Mrs Molllson landed there at 12.30 p.m. yesterday and is proceeding to Duala. Reuter’s Agency declares that there is no need to worry about the avlatrix as news 'travels slowly in the region over which she is crossing. A message despatched at 3.41 p.m. yesterday from the desert outpost, at Tahoua, reporting that there was no news, has only just been received in Paris.
