NEW ZEALAND EXECUTIVE. MR POLSON’S PREDICTION. (By Telegraph.—press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The executive of the Farmers’ Union met 10-day, and placed on record Its appreciation of the services rendered by Sir Francis Boys, of Christchuroh, w’ho represented the union in an advisory capacity at Ottaw r a. Mr W. Poison (recommended the setting up of a permanent committee to deal with questions of national Importance, and said he would move at a later stage in this direction. He said the outlook for the coming season was most serious, and the position was becoming such that farmers could not be blamed for demanding that fuifther consideration should be given to them. Rural telephones were dpacussed. It was agreed that the matter would probably right itself, and the meeting decided to take no further aotion. A committee was set up to report on the subject of a central bank, on the lines of the Niemeyer report. Mr Poison said the union shoo'd define its attitude before the matte? was finalised by the Government.
