STRIKE IN JAPAN.
TRANSPORT WORKERS DISPUTE. POLICE PRECAUTIONS. United Press Assn. — Elec. Tel. Cooynm TOKYO, Oct. 24. The Traffic Workers’ Union lias called a strike of municipal tramways, and motor-bus employees. Efforts to compromise failed during the week. The police have arrested scot-es of agitators and have mobilised 10,000 men to guard the car sheds. The authorities are hopeful of being able to maintain the services with emergency operatives.
