VISIT OF AMERICAN TEAM. PROBABLE MATCHES IN AUCKLAND AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The American lawn tennis team, comprising 11. E. Vines, W. Allison, J. Van Ryan, G. Gledhlll and Mrs. Van Ryan, is due to arrive in Auckland by the Niagara on Monday next. The Auckland association has been endeavouring to arrange exhibition matches on the day the visitors will be here, and last evening Mr. L. W. Swan, secretary to the association, received advice from the New Zealand Association to the efrect that the Australian Association had agreed to such matches being played on Monday next.
