POLO.
THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Cambridge Polo Club Mr Wynn Brown presided over a good attendance. The annual report showed that a good season had been experienced. The new ground has grown into a beautiful paddock and will be ready for playing on this season. The club has arranged with the N.Z.P.A. and the A.P.P.A. that in the event of the tournament being held in Cambridge the association co'ncerned takes oyer the cost of preparing the ground for a month prior to the tournament. The thanks- of the club are due to the president, Mr Jas. Taylor, for his generosity in giving the use of his paddock for the season. Election of Officers, The eleotlon of officers resulted:Patron, Mr James Taylor; president, Mr W. Fisher: vice-presidents, Messrs Wvnn Brown, N. Banks, H. Crowther, J.‘s. Fisher, J. W. Garland, V. H. Nolan and C. Potts; club captain, Mr A. Fisher; vice-captains, Messrs V. Vosper and R. Speake; treasurer, Mr J Butler; secretary, Mr G. Vosper; finance committee, captain, secretary, treasurer, Messrs V. H. Nolan and R. D Fisher; selector, Mr G. Meredith, auditor, Mr A. R. Batchelor; executive committee, captain, vice-captains, secretary, Messrs Jas. Taylor, K. Butler, R. Nolan, R. Speake; delegates to Auckland Provincial Association, captain, vice-captains and secretary; coaches, Messrs C. Potts, C. Meredith and N. Banks; hon. surgeons, Drs H. C. Tod and N. Waddle. The finances of the club are m a sound position and with a little care will meet expenses for the coming season. ... Practice for the new season will commence on Saturday, November 19.
