Postponed Sports Meeting. The Clothier Shield and Goldfields Stars tournament, postponed on Labour Day consequent upon heavy rain, will be resumed on Saturday next. The Te Aroha Cycling and Athletic Club, which encountered bad weather on Monday, and was only enabled to stage the chopping events, will have a credit balance over the meeting, as the gate receipts were very satisfactory. In the evening the club entertained the Northern Athletic Union delegates and sports competitors at a largely attended smoke concert. (Continued In next column.)
