SALARIES REDUCED.
DOMAIN BOARD BTAFF. r TEN PER CENT. GUT IMPOSED. A decision to reduce the salaries of the -staff of the Hamilton Domain Board by ten per cent., including -that of the secretary, was made at a meeting of the board last nigbt, when a recommendation to this effect, from a special committee set uf> -to go into the matter, was under consideration. It was decided to review the position in -six months.
'Air F. A. Swarbriok -expressed the opinion that a ten per cent, cut was quite sufficient at present, but he considered that wages would -have to come down more than 'that in the future.
