MEGAPHONE.

SOLD FOR THE WEST. Megaphone has been sold by Mr K. S. Williams to a West Australian buyer and he will make the trip as far as Sydney with J. H. Jeffeed’s team, which Is to leave this week. Megaphone has been at Trentham since racing unsuccessfully at the Wellington Winter meeting. He has not done a great deal of racing, but his form at the Bay meetings In June was promising. Ho failed at the Wellington meeting, but It Is thought that the soft ground at Trentham was not to his liking. Megaphone is a four-year-old gelding by Colossus from Humoresque, by Prlnco Willonyx from Barcarolle, by Martian from Grand Opera.
