REVOLT IN PERU. 44 PAY EXTREME PENALTY. 101 CONDEMNED TO DEATH. United Press Assn.—-Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received August 2, 9.30 a.m.) LIMA (Peru), August 1. The Government announced to-day that 44 men were executed on Wednesday at Trujilio for participating in the revolt there early last month. The men who were convicted by court martial, were taken out, lined up on trenches they themselves had dug around the city and shot. A hundred and one were condemned to death but 57 have not yet been taken into custody.
