TROTTING
TIMARU CLUB. WANTS A CHARITY MEETING. The Timaru Trotting Club is seeking a permit for a charity meeting In aid of the Central Relief Society, to be held on August 27. The club proposes to introduce the three-dividends system -on the basis of 70, 20 and 10 per cent., as approved by the Trotting Conference last month. The Oamaru Trotting Club last season paid three dividends, but its percentages, 50, 30 and 20, did not meet with general favour.
