NELSON CATHEDRAL.

BUILDING PARTLY COMPLETED. (By Telegraph.—Press Associations NELSON, Monday. Nelson’s new Cathedral, which has been in course of erection for seven years, is so far completed) as to enable services to be held in the nave yesterday. This portion was used for ttie first time when the Bishop of Nelson preached the first sermon. The. building is of great architectural beauty, and is being built of local marble. When completed, occupying, as it does, an eminence overlooking the city, and surrounded by the spreading branches of great trees planted by‘Nelson’s many early tree lovers, the Cathedral will he an inspiring sight.
