In the final singles for the Davis Cup in the European zone Cramm (Ger-~ many) beat Delbono (Italy), B—6, G 3, 3 —6, 6—l; Jaenecke (Germany) beat’' Palmieri (Italy), 6—3, o—6, 6—l, 2—6, 6—l. Germany thus won every match in the final.
