INCREASE IN THE LEVY. DECREASE IN EXPENDITURE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. The Auckland Hospital Board’s estimates for the current financial year provides for a levy of £IIO,OBO, which represents an increase of £7806 on last year. The subsidy payable by the Government will be £22,482 more than last year. The board’s estimated expenditure is £30,000 less than last year. The increased levy is due to a deficiency at the beginning of the year, caused by payments for unemployed relief.
