The opening games in the University hockey tournament for the Seddon Stick, held by t Canterbury, resutled as follows: — Victoria College, 3, defeated Canterbury College, 2. Auckland University College, 5, defeated Ulago University, nil. Goals for Auckland were scored by Bay (2), Don, Broun and Smith. Victoria now meets Auckland and Otago meets Canterbury.
