THE CAMBRIDGE BRANCH. NEXT SEASON'S FISHING. At a meeting of the Cambridge Acclimatisation Society -on Tuesday evening Mr W. Harbutt presided over an attendance of executive members. It was decided to forward a recommendation to the Auckland Society that the size of takable fish be lefl at 10 inches, owing to the high percentage or mortality in replacing fish In the water. it was also recommended that the Waimaklrirl nnd Oruka streams should lie opened next season for lly-flshuig only and all other streams should be available for open fishing. \s the daily and weekly licenses had been appreciated in the district, it was also recommended that they should be continued and that upon the 'sum reaching £1 a full license should he granted, plus 10 per cent penalty. It was also decided to suggest to the parent body that tho season in this district should be altered to November 1 to May 31. ' Mr P. R- Johnson was appointed an honorary ranger.
