FARM SCHOOL.
COURSE AT HAMILTON. GOOD ATTENDANCE PROMISED. The first Waikato Farm School will be opened at the Claudelands Showgrounds to-morrow at ID a.m., when it is anticipated that there will ho at least fifty students in attendance. An interesting course of lectures and experiments has been arranged for the nine days of the school, and under the guidance of Dr. H. E-. Annett, who is acting as •director, the course should prove of considerable benefit to tile students. Tbe primary objects of the school are to give young farmers and herdtesting officers an opportunity to improve their knowledge of grassland farming, pig husbandry, disease control, and other aspects of agriculture and dairying. The lecturers will Include Dr. 11. E. Annett, who will speak on grassland management, including fertilisers and fodder conservation, and Messrs D. Marshall, M.R.C.V.S., T. A. Blake, M.R.C.V.S., and JI. M- Pierson. in the evenings special talks will be given by Mr A. H. Cockayne, Assistant-Director-General of Agriculture, Mr Bruco Levy, of the plant research station, Mr E. J. Fawcett, farm economist of the Department of Agriculture and Mr C. M. Hume, federation supervisor of herd testing. Complete arrangements have been made for the housing and comfort of the students, who are coming from all parts of the North Island and from as far south as Murchison. The buildings at the showgrounds have been lent ns sleeping quarters..
