FASCINATING PICTURES. SCENIC ARTISTS AT THE SHOW. The Carltons, with their Pastelette Pictures, created great interest at the Waikato Show last year. They are again present at this year’.s display with their fasolnating piotures. These, produced with lightning dexterity, should form a great attraction and enable hundreds of visitors to return home with an unique-souvenir of the Show, for the remarkably small outlay of one shilling. The Carltons constitute probably the only combination of their kind In New Zealand. Rex Carlton is a skilled theatrical scenic artist and interior decorator, with Reta Carlton his sole assisiant. The whole of the scenic effects in the Dairy Division, the pictorial signs advertising the Show amusements and placed over the doors leading thereto, the. new Maori effect on the Robot platform, the picture of a large liner on the stand of G. S; Anchor ’(-Majestic Radios), and, last but not least, the backcloth representing the Port Waikato Children’s Camp, were executed by Rex Carlton and his assistant. - ' 41
