After discussion il was decided to go j ahead with the building of the nrirlgc to the plans as .submitted to the previous meeting by the society’s arehii teds. The bridge, which will be creeled as a memorial to Miss A. McPherson and Mr G. Parr, will lie constructed with a symmetrical arch built iu ronerele and Te Kuili lime--1 stone, and will have u distinctly rustic ntfanL

Tho second round of the Gillies vase was played yesterday. The matches resulted: Mrs H. Griffiths won be. default from Mrs Clive Matthews, Miss E. Seavill beat Miss E. Bell, 5 4; Mrs E. C. Brcwis and Mrs L. Pettit, all square; Mrs R. Worley and Mrs A. E. Savage, all square; Mrs A. E. Sandford heat Miss B. Vickery, 6—4; Miss B. Manning beat Mrs L. Tompkins. 4—3; Mrs 11. C. Ross beat Mrs C. L. Mac Diarmid, 1 up; Mrs ,T. M. Horton beat .Mrs W. J. King, 2 up. The third round must be played by .Tunc 1. The following scores for the bogey match were returned: — fc ' Silver division: Mrs G. B. Bartlett, 4 down (best last 9 holes) ; Mrs T. A Milroy, 4 down; Miss J. Templcr, 5 down. Bronze division: Mrs A. E. McCracken, 3 down; Miss Provis, 4 down; Miss K. Wilton, 4 down; Mrs R. Kemp, 5 down. The first round of the club foursomes will be played on Monday, May 23. The draw has been published, and is posted up at the club house.
