TAKES UP NEW DUTIES. After seven years as Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages and Registrar of Electors for the Hamilton district, Mr G. A. Plummer relinquished Ills post to-day on transfer to the Internal Affairs Department, and will take over the position in Hie Labour Department at Hamilton, recently held by Mr E. A. Latham. Since his transfer to Hamilton from Auckland Mr Plummer has been a familiar figure at ihe Knox Street registry office, where his unfailing courtesy made for him a host of friends. During his term of office over 2000 marriage certificates were issued amT nearly 300 marriages solemnised by Mr Plummer. Over that period ho recorded upwards of 4300 births and between 1500 and 2000 deaths. The ofilce of the new Registrar (Mr C, S. Clark), who will combine tho duties of Registrar of Births, Deaths and .Marriages and Registrar of Electors, with those of Registrar of I lie Supremo Count, has been shifted to tho Hamilton Courthouse, ;
